Amani Ginn is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and a direct descendant of Isaac Hawkins, one of the 272 enslaved individuals sold by the Jesuits in 1838. Amani is pursuing a degree in criminal justice from Jackson State University and aims to become an attorney. At the Dialogue on Race program, she shared her story with Jesuits.
