The Descendants Truth & Reconciliation Foundation exists to repair — through action — what slavery tried to destroy. Our programs are shaped by the needs of Descendants and their communities. They are grounded in truth, healing, and transformation with a goal of moral repair — and they are based on the broken promises Jesuits made in 1838.
